1. Disconnect or remove a social account
- Sign in at app.ruminalabs.com.
- Open the workspace, then go to Workspace settings → Social accounts.
- Choose Disconnectto revoke and delete the account’s access tokens straight away. Its scheduled posts move back to drafts, and its history is kept so that reconnecting restores it. For a YouTube channel, its YouTube analytics, comments, and imported videos are deleted automatically 30 days after you disconnect, unless you reconnect it first.
- Choose Remove permanently on a disconnected account to permanently delete it together with its posts, analytics, inbox threads, queues, and posting slots.
2. Revoke access from the network itself
You can also withdraw Rumina’s access directly in each network’s settings:
- Google (Sign in with Google, YouTube, Google Business Profile): visit your Google Account → Third-party apps & services, select Rumina, and choose Delete all connections.
- Facebook & Instagram:go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations (or Apps and websites), select Rumina, and remove it.
- LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, DEV.to: remove Rumina from the connected or authorised apps section of your account settings.
Once access is revoked, Rumina can no longer read from or publish to that account. To also erase the data we already stored, remove the account (section 1) or delete your organisation (section 3).
3. Delete your organisation
- As an organisation owner, open Organization settings → General.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete organization and confirm.
- The organisation enters a 14-day grace period during which an owner can cancel. After that, all of its workspaces, connected accounts, tokens, posts, media, inbox history, and analytics are permanently deleted.
4. Delete your personal account
To delete your user account and personal data (name, email, profile picture), email [email protected]from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and let you know if anything must be kept by law.
5. Facebook and Instagram deletion requests
If you remove Rumina from your Facebook or Instagram settings, Meta sends us a data deletion request automatically and gives you a confirmation code and a link to a status page on app.ruminalabs.com. To ask about the request, email us with that code at [email protected].
6. How long deletion takes
| What you do | What is deleted | When |
|---|---|---|
| Disconnect a channel | Access tokens | Immediately |
| Disconnect a YouTube channel | YouTube analytics, comments, imported videos, and channel details | 30 days after disconnecting, unless you reconnect |
| Remove a channel permanently | The account and its posts, analytics, inbox threads, queues, and posting slots | Immediately |
| Delete your organisation | Everything in the organisation | After a 14-day grace period |
| Ask us to delete your account | Your user account and personal data | Within 30 days of your request |
Publishing audit logs expire after 90 days, and backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data also leaves our backups over time.
